Gissou Nia is a human rights lawyer who most recently served as deputy director at the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran, and prior to that as the executive director of the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center. She has also worked on war crimes and crimes against humanity trials at the International Criminal Court and the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
