Firas Al-Atraqchi is co-managing editor of the Cairo Review of Global Affairs and former chair of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the American University in Cairo (AUC). He joined AUC as associate professor of practice of journalism in September 2010, bringing over twenty-eight years of experience in reporting, editing and newsroom management. Throughout his career, he served in numerous editorial positions including editor of The BRICS Post and senior editor at Al Jazeera English from 2004 to 2010.
