Reimer has taught at AUC since 1990. In his teaching and research, he has examined the modern history of Egypt and the Arab world, American relations with various countries of the Middle East, and the history of Zionism. He is the author of Colonial Bridgehead: Government and Society in Alexandria, 1807-1882, and The First Zionist Congress: An Annotated Translation of the Proceedings.
