Shahira S. Fahmy (Ph.D., Missouri School of Journalism) is a journalism professor at The American University in Cairo. She is an International Communication Association (ICA) Fellow and Fulbright scholar. Her seminal research has appeared in top-ranked journals, and one of her books received the National Communication Association (NCA) book award in the United States.
